I know Marie loved and approved this wedding…Her spirit appeared at the celebration in the form of an orb…which was captured on pics taken by her Grand daughter, Phaedra…I love this photo of Dwane signing the marriage certificate..notice an orb in his ear?…I can hear mom whispering in his ear saying “and if you don`t take good care of my daughter, I`m going to F— you up…”…hahaha

July 1st we will escape the hohum and head off on a new adventure…I can`t wait to see fam and friends in Colorado…we try to go back to Dave`s home town at least every other year…we just miss everyone there…we have new babies to hug and hold..what`s better than that?…My girlfriend Kathleen and Dave`s Bro, Bill are graciously keeping us all at their place in Larkspur, Colorado..what a party it`s goiung to be…I love reunions….a wedding is in the plans on the 4th of July…Dave plans to give Chris (his sis) away to a very cool guy..and my grandkids will be flower girls and ring bearer…Dave`s especially looking forward to having some father and son time…can`t wait…I love traveling and I never tire of the views and interesting places…Colorado Springs is my favorite site seeing area…we will be staying near the base of the Rocky Mts…what a view…

Patty is visiting from Mesa, Arizona. so Cindy decided to throw us a girls slumber party.. Lynn came down from Fresno and after we arrived..we couldn`t wait to get rid of any witnesses..which were mostly husbands, kids and responsibilities…Cindy met us in the drive way wearing a mischievious grin which I can describe as only a Cheshire cat would wear…very shortly we found out why she was grinning like that…then a few minutes later we all were grinning like Cheshire cats…We laughed, joked and shared old memories..we got so trashed and were so naughty…we decided to play Mexican Train dominoes which turned into a 20 hour marathon..when it was time to go home we promised to get together soon…Love you guys….

Sunday my family got together to welcome my Brother, Jim back home for a visit..he lives in Ohio..my cousins,Steve, Patty and Becky and their families came which made the gathering special…the kids swam..we drank and ate and laughs were plenty…thanx to my sister Gloria for having us..Kathy came down from Placerville and she brought her grandkids..my nieces and nephews brought their gang as well, so we had quite a few people to visit…we are all trying hard to keep the family close cuz all our lives are so very full..these family gatherings are truly cherished since they are so few…until we gather again…I love and miss you all…

I had an awesome Mother`s Day! My son and his best babe got me a flat screen HD TV..actually it was for Father`s day to come as well…lol…what a deal I would say…hehehe..My Grandkids and Phaedra & Joey dug out my flower beds and put in Petunia`s and zinnias..which has turned into a Mother`s Day Tradition from them..I love these gifts that keep on giving, ya know?..lol..then the shocker came from my man of all men!!!! David bought me an awesome notebook lap top…the hard part was letting me choose which one I wanted…hehehe..they had an awesome Mother`s Day sale so I got one that is 2-3 times better than Phaedra`s work pc…lol…now she wants one like mine…lol…now to learn “Vista”..and to program my favs into it when it arrives in a couple days…Going to be fun playing WOW (World of Warcraft) on a faster pc..Thanx to my kids and friends/family (Loved the song Kathy)..lol… I am looking forward to next weekend when we are having a small reunion with my bro Jim who is visiting here from Ohio…and there will be cousins and more..I feel blessed..Diana

I decided to feature a random memory category..something we can share with loved ones… let`s see…I can remember many humorous and sometimes not so humorous stories about Sam..no not that Sam..Sam the Monkey..we had a male capuchin monkey for 9 yrs of growing up at the old ranch in Delhi…to keep him out of trouble while we were out irrigating on the ranch, we would chain him to an old chair outside till we would come home..One particular day Gloria rode our old tote goat home from the fields for lunch ..which this day she found poor Sammy hanging from his chain, choked unconscious..Gloria not knowing what else to do started CPR on him.. she was scared to death and near panic but when she gave him the breath of life, he woke up ..What a relief..well not..Sammy was not appreciative at all..instead of being grateful that she saved his life, he bit her right through her lips…OMG! I think it was Gloria`s first Monkey bite..I`m not really sure but I think Mike gave her the second one she ever had…lol..

I`m having a nice visit with my brother, Dale who will only be here a few days..Brother and sister bonding is our only plan..it`s a nice spring day in central California and getting out into the sun feels soooo good..

Ray is going to have a daughter in September!
